Bespoke Limoges Porcelain for Superyachts, Private Aviation and Exceptional Residences : Platinum, Grand Feu Enamels, 24-carat Gold
Platinum inlay, 24-carat gold gilding, grand feu enamels, mother-of-pearl: some finishes on Limoges porcelain exist in only a handful of workshops across Europe. Maison Manoï masters these techniques for projects where the level of expectation tolerates no compromise — palaces, superyachts, private aviation, exceptional residences. Every piece is made from Limoges kaolin, shaped and decorated within the area protected by the Geographical Indication.

Finishes only Limoges can produce
Matte gold inlaid on cobalt enamel
On this piece, matte gold has been inlaid in a deep cobalt enamel, creating a contrast between the midnight blue and the golden arabesques that reveal differently
depending on the lighting.
The process requires several firings at different temperatures:
- The first firing at 820 °C sets the cobalt enamel
in the glaze.
- The second anchors the matte gold in the enamel.
- The subsequent firings allow for layering and finishing of the filigree patterns.
Each piece is visually inspected
between each firing.
It is a process that prohibits any industrial production. Very few workshops in Limoges master this technique on certified IG porcelain.
Mother-of-pearl, Platinum and grand feu enamels
in the mass of the enamel. The result is a color of a
depth and brilliance impossible to achieve with small fire enamels. On these pieces, the enamels display several shades of blue — from turquoise to cobalt to lavender blue — each requiring its own pigment formulation and dedicated firing.
The platinum and gold fillets frame each piece. The platinum
offers a cool, silver, and contemporary shine that clearly stands out from the warm gold. On some pieces, striped patterns alternate between enamel and bare band, creating a play of textures between shiny surface and matte porcelain.
Mother-of-pearl is an effect obtained by layering metallic oxide layers, each fired separately. The iridescent reflection changes depending on the angle of the light.
This is a finish found on the rarest pieces from the historic Limoges factories.
Fine gold gilding on turquoise enamel
On this piece, 24-carat gold has been applied with a brush and a feather on turquoise enamel, in extremely precise arabesque patterns.
Fillets, friezes, and reserved decorations overlap on several levels.
Liquid gold is applied stroke by stroke by a master gilder.
Each gesture is irreversible.
After application, the piece is placed in an oven at 820 °C. The gold fuses with the enamel of the porcelain, giving it a durability that cold gilding cannot achieve.
Three types of finishes are available: shiny gold (mirror shine
), matte gold (satin appearance) and brushed gold (tactile texture).
On this piece, the arabesques are in shiny gold while the turquoise background highlights every detail of the decoration.
Our clients
Exceptional finishes only make sense in the context of a real project.
Here’s how they were deployed for clients whose standards leave no margin.
Fine gold gilding · 150 pieces
Orient Express × Jean-Paul Gaultier
150 plates with a double 24-carat fine gold line made entirely by hand. Empire shape, fired at 820 °C. Reduced production time, delivery coordinated with the event team. The final result: a deep brilliant gold on extra-white porcelain, visible in candlelight as well as in broad daylight.
Fine gold gilding · Parisian palace
Hôtel de Crillon (Rosewood hotel)
Series of presentation plates with fine gold gilding for the table service of the Parisian palace. Each piece validated on prototype before production. The result: a gold line of perfect regularity, designed to withstand the daily service of a 5-star establishment.
5-color glazing + matte gold · 175 pieces
Bvlgari House × BNF
175 Choiseul-shaped plates glazed in 5 colors, literary quotes in chromolithography with matte gold, brush-painted lines. 4 firings per piece. The tactile rendering of the polychrome enamel is distinctly different from printing: the color has depth, texture, and a shine that changes with the lighting.

Delivery on board coordinated with your naval interior designer, including customs protocol outside the EU.
The Geographical Indication
Limoges porcelain
The GI certifies three things. The kaolin comes from the Limoges basin — it is what gives the porcelain its translucent whiteness and strength. The shaping, firing, and decoration are carried out within the geographical perimeter defined by the specifications. No step can be subcontracted outside the area.
For the buyer, it is a guarantee of total traceability and verifiable authenticity.
Each Maison Manoï piece bears the IG stamp.
